Fort Peck

The kids, my sis Jacki and I were able to go see my other sis Candi for a few days last month. We spent one day at Fort Peck and it was so fun! We weren't sure what the weather would be like but it was perfect. It was overcast but very warm and there were only four other people at the beach! So here are some pictures...

We had lots of fun. We also went to their church on Sunday, went for lots of long walks, ate a lot of yummy food and just had a great time!

Books!

So I have been reading a lot of books since I became our church librarian and I will eventually tell  you some I have enjoyed. But we also started going to Belgrade's Public Library so the kids could get lots of books for the summer and two I have really like for them are:


The Book with No Pictures by B.J. Novak. It is one you need to read aloud to your kids and they will find it hilarious. The only thing I didn't like is that has "butt" in it which isn't a terrible word but it just isn't one of my favorite words for my kids to say.

The Pigeon Needs a Bath. It is just a cute book

these don't have any morals or huge points taught~they are just fun to read!

I will to make a list of other books I have really enjoyed soon and I will download some pictures too! ;o)

A short new post!

So I have had 3 people ask about my blog recently and I was like 3 people care! ;) I guess I could try to update more then. We have a new computer so I don't have any pictures on it and I don't know how yet to load new ones. The kids are busy with basketball camp this week and are really enjoying it. And I will post some pictures soon! :o)

A cat and mouse...

So just a story tonight....

We have had a mouse in our house~ amazing, since we did have 9 cats at the time (we just got rid of the 6 kittens). Well, the mouse was basically in behind our stove and in the stairway wall. I thought it might be impossible to get! But Saturday night, I was awake in bed and thought I heard some scuffling...in our bedroom! Then I hear it under our bed so I nudge Justin and say "Did you hear that?" He answered in the affirmative and bolted out of our bed (honestly, probably the fastest I have seen him move in the middle of the night) to get our cat.
He brings Bobcat in and puts him under the bed and Bobcat senses the mouse right away. He chases out from under the bed to behind our dresser. Justin pulls the dresser out and brings Bobcat over and BOOM, mouse caught and one happy kitty and wife! ;o)  After we get all settled in bed again, I ask Justin what the time is and it is 3 a.m.! That was our exciting Saturday night and I really hope that was the only mouse!

July so far

 We were able to have both are families here for the fourth of July week (except Addi, Ness, and Chevelle :(  ), it was so fun and tiring! We celebrated Jay's bday w/ everyone. He loves that! So here a few pictures!
