SPRING STORM

So these are pictures I would rather not be posting this time of the year but they are pretty cute and I wanted to share. Here's to hoping that this was the last snow storm until December!! :O) It was kind of strange tho' before the snow came, two hours earlier a thunderstorm came over our house!

Justin spent an hour with the kids in the snowstorm building a fort-they were soaked after this but still smiling!
Building snowballs for the fort

The day after the storm-the fort still stands! The kids had fun spraying colored water on it to make it more spring like. :o)

Attempt at Pictures

I tried to take some cute pics of the kids Sunday morning-it was a nice clear, sunny, spring day and the kids were in good moods -saving the worms on the asphalt and putting them back in the grass. But the kids weren't in a very picture taking mood, I did get maybe 5 usable ones and here are a couple of the duds.

We asked them put look up at Daddy so they put their noses in the airThen I asked them to put their noses down...and they push them down.
Pretty much the story of the rest of the pics-Madelynn not looking at the camera and Finley cheesing. Oh well....

On a different note, Madelynn got a black eye and from Finley, no surprise. They were supposed to be in their beds but of course they were out bugging each other. Somehow Finley hits her by her eye with a flashlight. It was only a little blue bump that night but by morn it spread to under her eye.

Strawberry Spinach Salad

This salad is super yummy and super easy.

9 cups fresh Spinach
1 pint strawberries, sliced (thickly)
1/2 cup sliced almonds

I didn't actually measure the ingredients so as long as you have these 3 items in it the salad should by yummy!

Dressing:
1/4 cup vegetable oil- I put this much in but it kind of washed out the balsamic vinegar so I added more bal. vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
1-2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar-like I said i used more than this
Dash of Worcestershire sauce- I used more than a dash
1 Tbsp finely chopped green onions
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp sesame seeds-I didn't have these so omitted them

A very refreshing salad for spring and summer!
