Part Of Our Trip!

We were able to go to Maui for our friends Tyler & Libby's wedding~ It was such a treat!!  It was sans-kids, so it was VERY relaxing! My Mom watched our kids w/ some help from my sisters. We are so thankful she could do that. Here are just a few pictures to get started b/c some people were interested in what we saw.

We stayed right on the beach w/ the groom's 2 brothers and their families, and his parents stayed there also. Mike and Justin went out a lot on this canoe. I went once and got a nice big bump on my head after we tipped. That was enough for me! :o)

Tyler and Justin at big beach and it did have some BIG waves!
At Big Beach

Part of the crew...we had a 4 month and 4 year old boy staying there. They both are really sweet. I really enjoyed getting to know these two lovely ladies better too!
The last night of our stay

Justin took the canoe out one more time before our flight that night!

I will post more pictures and stories as I have time...still trying to make our new place feel like home!

LUSTRE-YAY!

We were able to go spend a couple days in Lustre a week ago and it was so nice. It was great to be there in the summer so we can actually go outside and it seriously looked like spring there...everything was so green! I love going up there and just being able to see for miles and it is so quiet and calm. I love being able to go outside and not worry about neighbors being 5 feet away. I just have so many dear, wonderful memories from up there.
Anyway, we were able to stop by Candi's for a night and day, and had a great time w/ them. Then in Lustre, Sharon's sister, niece, and bro-in-law from Ireland were all there. So great to spend time w/ them.  Julia actually took all these pictures...she is going to school for photography and is very talented!

While we were there, we got to...
1. go to the garden tea party
2. visit w/ an "old" schoolmate
3. F got to ride on a combine!
4. Have an anniversary party bbq w/ the Morasco's
5. Go to Sunday school and see lots of great people
6. Try on lots of old fun hats
7. Go for a nice evening walk w/ my sweetie
8. Got to spend time w/ the Grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins!!
9. AND eat lots of yummy food from their garden and lots of yummy other food!

There were many more good times too!

We had a great time and wish we could make it up there more often...

I see a Bear!

So I totally forgot to write about the bear! When we got to the cabin there was a note saying that there had been a bear seen around and rummaging in garbage cans. We noted it but really didn't think much of it. But on the fourth or fifth day there, Fin comes running into the living room shouting "I see a bear!" I honestly just thought he was playing around but he said it again and that it was by the cars. So we all rush to the front of the cabin and look out the door window (which is full length) and sure enough, there was a medium-ish size bear walking around our cars-only 5 feet away! Pretty exciting~especially for Fin...he has reminded us a couple of times since about "when I turned around and saw that bear!"
We failed to get a picture of it, of course. :o)

Since the trip, life has settled into some sort of a routine. Shown our house a couple more times but pretty much always get "it's cute but too small".  Someday soon we will get the "we love it and want to pay you twice what you are asking for!" call. Maybe.... at least the "we'll love  it!"part.  :o)

Our church has VBS this coming week and somehow I volunteered to teach the 3rd and 4th grade class. Kind of nervous since teaching isn't my strong point but it isn't about me and it should be a good trusting God to help me experience! Thankfully, it is only 3 days.

And I won 2 more giveaways! So fun! One is another bag (my second) and the other is a gift certificate to Mikarose, a dress store. Excited about that one.

And I'm trying not to think that school is fast approaching and that M will be gone 5 days a week soon!! She is such a helper and playmate for the boys!

Anyway, need to go look at the VBS lesson some more!

More Vacation Pics

 Just some more random pictures!

The guys had a fire going every night but the kids were always in bed. So on the last day a fire was made and they got to make s'mores!

He loved having Nana's attention. He only wanted her to put him to bed and right now he is yelling "Nana!" at the screen!

These 4 had so much fun together!

Our attempt at an "Awkward Family Picture"   Verdict: we can't even do awkward right!

We were able to get together again this summer w/ my entire family. We met at Georgetown Lake this year and rented a house/cabin. It was so much fun and so tiring! :o)
